Happy Thanksgiving

Happy thanksgiving everyone! Be thankful for what you have, not bitter about what you don’t. Don’t take things for granted. Change is the only constant in life.

So today after classes I met up with Rolo to go shoot. We walked around downtown, Union Square, Chinatown, North Beach, and then to the Embarcadero. I went through 3 rolls of film and had them developed so I’ll start putting them up tomorrow. Overall fun day.. Tired from walking, but fun nevertheless haha. Thanks for shooting with me Rolo!

Here’s a few iPhone shots chronicling the day.

Hello everyone! Here are some iPhone snaps! Taken with both Hipstamatic and Camera+ apps.

Also, thanks for visiting everyone! My blog just passed the 10k mark for views a couple days back. Not bad considering I haven’t even had it for a year haha. Like I said before, I didn’t even think people would bother to read my b/s so to have people comment, like, view, or whatever on my blog posts really makes me happy.

In other news, I closed my Flickr account. Updating it was annoying and I wanted to have a clean slate for uploading projects so I just decided to start a completely new account.

I’m probably going shooting tomorrow so hopefully I can blow through a few rolls and upload a little digital stuff.

Oh man it’s been about a week since I posted anything! I’ve been really preoccupied with school work and stuff so I haven’t had a lot of time to go and shoot. I finally managed to go out today and shoot through a roll of Ektar in Chinatown while I was working on a project. I was starting to get a little tired from walking so after a couple hours I headed back downtown to catch the bus home so I could get ready for work.

I shot some snaps with my iPhone today and I really am starting to appreciate it as a snapshot camera. I use an app called Camera+ and it works really well. I was on Eric Kim’s blog the other day and even saw a whole group dedicated to mobile phone street photography. It’s cool how phones like the iPhone, HTC, etc are putting these more user friendly cameras into cell phones because they really are convenient.

Here’s some shots from today.

Hello everyone! So today my man Daniel met me up and shot with me. We walked around Downtown and Chinatown first and then headed to Japan Town for the Cherry Blossom Festival. I brought my Pentax 645 and Olympus Stylus with me and went through about 4 rolls total today (3 color, 1 b&w). Once I shoot up the rest of the film I have I’m shipping it off to the lab.

In the meantime, here’s some iPhone shots (shot on Hipstamatic). I really wanted some color shot, but switching between the cameras in Hipstamatic is a pain so I decided to just have b&w haha. It’s kind of a cluster fuck of b&w shots, but whatever.

Thanks for shooting with me today Daniel! It was fun!

Hey everyone! Haven’t had too much time to shoot due to personal reasons, but here’s some shots that I took on my iPhone with Hipstamatic.

Hey everyone. Here’s some digital stuff from me. All shot with the E-P1 or iPhone 4. To be quite honest, I don’t like any of these shots. It just feels odd not using film and the results I get from digital just don’t do it for me anymore. I’m not saying digital sucks or anything like that. It’s just that for the type of photography I enjoy, I get more of a thrill using film. The way I shoot, what I shoot, everything changes. I’m still considering getting something like a Leica X1 or Fuji X100 as a back up shooter when I run out of film or something, but yeah.

Tomorrow is Valentines Day. Guess who’s gonna be working? 🙂
