Happy February everyone! Sean recently brought some of my film in for development and I just got around to scanning it now. Will post those for a few days.

This was an odd roll of film to scan because I took some of these photos like more than half a year ago. I shot half of it, rolled it back into the canister, and finished the other half last month sometime. It was kinda cool having flashbacks of what I did last year haha.

I’ve been spending most of my time at school and work so I’ve been pretty busy, but I’m trying to keep like 2 days a week open for shooting.

I recently just re read Talking Barnacles by Patrick Tsai. It’s a pretty sweet photo blog that I found awhile back, but never bothered to read through it. He goes through similar frustrations that I have sometimes and his brutal honesty and openness is very refreshing. It’s kinda old now but I do recommend reading it if you have the time. He’s also a part of the same photo group as Ume Kayo whose work I enjoy a lot (she probably gets my vote for cutest female photographer, too.. Totally my type ๐Ÿ™‚ ).

Today was wet. I was running this morning and the rain just started coming down in little patches. I also woke up with a major neck ache so being wet on top of it was no bueno. I had wanted to meet a friend for dinner, but she said she had no money.. Then I came to the realization that I didn’t want to spend any ๐Ÿ˜€ . I’m hoping tomorrow will bring better weather since I plan on shooting.

Yo! Winter break feels great. I’ve been able to catch up on a few things and meet up with some friends I haven’t seen in awhile. It’s not like classes were really that stressful or anything, but it was so time consuming having to just show up haha. It’s good to have ย more chill time.

Here’s some more snapshots I scanned. I’ve been trying to work on getting closer to people and filling the frame more.
